The Library Media Center is open throughout the school day. Teachers schedule classes into the library for research, computers and book exchange. Research skills, genre lessons, computer assistance and more will be taught by Mr. Lee. Teachers and Mr. Lee will work together as a team to support the curriculum needs. Students may check out and return books for book reports and recreational reading during advisory and after school. Students can come to the media center after school for assistance in their research units or homework until 2:45.
The library collection contains over 10,000 fiction and non-fiction books including a well stocked reference area. The library offers over 30 different periodicals for teacher professional usage and for student recreational and research reading.Teachers can check out curriculum based videos, DVD's and audio books housed in the media center to support units in school. Laptops in the media center have internet access to enhance the learning experience. There is a new OPAC system in the district where students and teachers can locate books and link to grade appropriate internet sites. It is linked above on this website.
